Pulled the trigger on the Jimnybits 2” lift rear springs. Hoping to get them installed in the next couple of weeks.  I am wondering if these have a top/bottom side to install

I bought my Jimny in March 2020 and after a few months I fitted a Trail Master 50mm lift kit from Martin,
The measurements from ground to underside of wheel arch trim before the lift were NSF 783mm, OSF 784mm NSR 795mm and OSR 792mm. After fitting the kit, NSF 830mm, OSF 830mm, NSR 850mm and OSR 847mm.
It doesn't matter where you measure from/to as long as you are consistent and accurate. My measurements were vertical and went through the c/line of the wheel. This way I can replicate them for future comparison.

Measuring from the ground will be affected by tyre size and pressure. Measuring from the centre of the wheel is best as it is consistent regardless of wheel tyle, tyre size, pressure etc.

Another point to mention are the suspension units, leading and trailing arms and the panhard rods. All the bolts/nuts to the chassis should loosened off and only tightened once the springs and shocks are fitted and the Jimny bounced up and down. This will settle the suspension and allow the bushes to settle into there new positions. If this is not done there will be a twisting movement in them which will lead to premature failure.

Just had a chance to re-check the ride heights .

NSF - 825mm OSF - 822mm.
NSR - 842mm OSR - 842mm.

To me this indicates a small drop over a period of 3 years and approx. 13,000 miles.
Busta made a point as to where he would measure from/to. I chose ground to underside of wheel arch trim because the tyres were only 3 months old and they had been set to the correct pressures so they would not effect the accuracy of the readings and I find it easier to measure from the ground up because the ground is a fixed point. Trying to measure from the C/L of the hub to the trim is more difficult because you need to hold the hub end stationary whilst taking a reading at the other end, especially if you are kneeling down to do it. Each to his own as they say.

Again my apologies on the late reply.
It took me a long time but finally got the rear springs replaced with the Jimnybits springs.   Lean is gone, ride is smoother, on the back of the car height is lower which makes it look more even.

This was a good move and in the future I might replace the front springs too as I liked the smoothness of the Jimnybits rear springs.
