Hubs vacuum pipes diagram/photos?

I replaced mine with semi-flexible blue airline hose and push-fit hose connectors.
Here's a diagram from the service manual....

Perfect thanks, any suggestions on 4wd low not engaging? Or would it not work anyway if I have no 4wd? Ordered some 4mm silicone hose and will replace the whole system to make sure..

I replaced the original vac pipe with new flexible pipe, it was straight forward to do and worked right out of the box. It took about an hour.

I put the Tee pieces at the top and ran down the internal body work to the diff on both sides. It took about 9m of pipe and total cost was about £30 for the vac pipe and Tee pieces, but well worth it.

I found the problem with the original pipes, some of the original metal pipe near the diff and sheared off, through both pipes and was just hanging loose. It must have sucked dirt into the pipe and blocked them.

Hi folks. New on here, but on my second Jimny now! I'm hoping you might be able to help me out with some advice, as I need to do this job on mine.

I had a look under the car and also found both metal pipes sheared off on the driver's side, just past the tee pieces. The pipes look like they'd been under the sea for several decades.

The metal pipes join some flexible hoses which then go the hubs. But I can't see how they actually connect to them, as the ends of the pipes seem to disappear behind the hub. I need to get in there so I can attach the new silicone hoses.

It's very dirty under there, so maybe that's why I can't see the ends properly. Or do I need to do some disassembly, eg remove the wheels, or brake callipers?

Let me know if this should be a new thread. First post here, so I'm not too familiar with the etiquette.

Remove the wheel, the rubber pipes are a push fit, so if you get the right size tubing it just slides on, there are no clips.

I would give it a good clean before removing the original pipes.

Make sure you connect the lock and unlock to the correct points, there is a guide somewhere on which one is which.

That is a crucial step I hadn't seen mentioned in the discussions/guides I'd read so far. Really good info. I feel a lot more confident in tackling the job now.
