Jimny Code after engine swap was created by Joely978
Few months ago installed a 1.5 in my 2015 Jimny, now have had a reaccuring error code. My tool says it is P0140 and is a faulty 02 sensor. Would it be worthwhile replacing the 02 sensor or would it more be an issue between the new engine and the ECU?
Thanks

Lambda sensors are a bit delicate and don't like being disturbed. Replace but use a Denso sensor which is OE equipment...

I had the same when i swapped my m13 for a m16. Or have the same. swapped the sensor for another used suzuki sensor I had lying around.
Was fine for a long while but later found out my cat no1 had disintegrated into cat no2 so had to remove them both. Now I got an aftermarket cat in cat 2 position only but still original O2 sensors. In cold weather or when the cat is shock cooled by a puddle or similar I can sometimes get the same error again. approx 2-3 times a year. doesn't bother me and still pass mot.

does the error code actually have any effect on the engine or performance?

I have had this code and the insufficient exhaust system something on my swift and my jimny, also the bank1 sensor two code.
Have not noticed any effect on the power or function. I do not measure the gas milage however.
