Thanks Jack and Keith. Was that 5.4 degrees measured after calibrating for the sloping drive? My plan will be to jack up the front of the car until the engine is at the standard Jimny angle then take out the filler plug and see how much oil comes out.

I wouldn't worry about the angle tbh......Jimny's get to some strange angles off the beaten track.

I wouldn't worry about the gear oil either. When I done my oil changes I haven't been too particular on keeping the car level. I don't think a 5-10 degrees off would make the oil level too much off to make any difference. Using the correct oil and frequent changes is more important on a suzuki gearbox.
