Remote Key - Won't Unlock but Lock Works was created by neilbaldwin

Hello all,

Had a weird thing start happening with my 06 plate. The remote key will no longer unlock the car though locking it works fine.

I've replaced the battery and also checked continuity on the buttons themselves (which appear to be OK).

Any ideas?

Mine was harder to use it worked better after cleaning it out but also the rubber buttons wear down and dont make good enough contact.

It's definitely not the rubber buttons as I took the circuit board out of the key, taped the battery to it and then tried pressing the micro switches on the PCB itself. Same thing: lock works, unlock doesn't. Really odd.

you could try re soldering the legs on micro switch

Maybe it's the central locking thing that triggers the lock might be faulty as in locks the doors but dosent unlock it?

If you manually lock and unlock using the button on the door does it feel stiff?

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.
