Tyres was created by Goshawker
Hi I'm sure this has probably been mentioned a hundred times before and I have looked for the answer but am not to good on these forums and would be really grateful for a straight forward answer as to what is the largest tyre size I can fit on a 1999 standard jimny . I will be looking at doing a 2" lift in the new year. but just for now as the vehicle needs new tyres anyway what can I get away with. Cheers mark

Sorry should have been a little clearer there I meant without cutting arches and stuff. Also I'm lookin at probably insa turbo sahara tyres as a rough guide

I've got 195/80/15 KL71s. They went on when the car was still on standard suspension and they just cleared everything ok. No need to cut anything and when you do go up 2" they'll still look bob-on.

Depends what you intend doing in the car before you put th elift on... you can fit a 215x80 on but you will tear the ass out of your arches if you go laning without a lift.
Personally I would put an agressive set of 205's on ... maybe even go for some 235's .. the type of tyre you go for will also affect the size you can fit .. eg .. 215x80 AT2's are smaller than Diamong Back Mud tyres as the diamond backs have larger tread blocks ... mine are 29" diameter ... but my set of Dunlop AT's in teh same size are, side by side, almost 1.5 inches smaller !!!

Im the same, standard jimny at the moment but 15x7 steels and 215/75/15 bfg mud terrains on order. Should be ok till the 3" LIFT goes on.

Mine were fine btw aswell 215/75 no rubbing and pretty chunky mud terrains without lift, now lifted though.
