Reverse gear was created by Mike G
Sometimes it's a little bit of a fiddle trying to get my jimny into reverse gear. Would it more likely be gear links or gearbox that causes this sort of behaviour?

2" Trailmaster suspension lift, 2"body lift, snorkel, full breather kit, 29" steel wheels with BFG tyres, tinted rear windows, CRT CB radio with modulator antenna mounted on rear, dog cage and tray in the back.

Define fiddle? I consider it normal to have to place a car in neutral and release and re-depress the clutch prior to placing a car in reverse or occasionally first.

Could be the known problem of the mounting under the gearbox failed although Suzuki call it the rear engine mount. The rubber disbonds from the metal and so allows the gearbox to move in all directions which certainly does not help gear selection. See one of my threads reference where to get one at the lowest price.

Yep, exactly that. When I try to change gear normally (as you describe), it's sometimes difficult to get it into reverse. I sometimes have to put it back into neutral, rattle the gear stem around and re-depress the clutch. Sometimes it doesn't go in and when I lift the clutch I hear the slight grinding of gears, then I quickly depress the clutch and try again to get it into gear. It's a bit of a pain, because it's not normal and I expect it shouldn't be the case on a reasonably new jimny like mine (2007).
