So many of you may of recently seen an s reg jimny come up for sale on gumtree and dotted around kirton off road.

Well i recently purchased it and had a rear disc brake conversion on it, we cant really seems to find much info about the motor or what discs and callipers are actually on it.

What rear disc conversions do people do?

Regards,
Dave

There is a kit which uses Renault Megane calipers. Could it be one of those?

hi i have done it to mine . using sj front hub flange cut a peace out of one side so slips over the axle at its smallest point then slid it up to the back of the hub flange . then when when replaces wheel bearings took the back plate off that the drum shoes sit against off and cut it so its square leaving the four bolts still there then tapped them out . and replaced with longer once that will then go through the axle flange and the hub part used to mount the calliper and fitted new bearing on .then used jimny front disk and pads and calliper as they bolt right on ect . then put my hand brake to my transfer box . can also put disk on there if wanted but i use the t-case so it already had it on so used it . can get pics if wanted or there is other options above
