If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Check the wheelbearings on all 4 wheels.
Have a look underneath for signs of oil leaking from the gearbox, transfer box & back axle. A leak can indicate that there is no oil in :pinch: or that the dif pinion bearing is gone (if it is from the front of the axle)

I have so many squeaks, rattles and humming from my Jimny that I just turn the radio up a bit louder.
