Hoping there are some engine gurus here!
I've replaced the knackered head gasket on the M16a engine following the Suzuki service manual but I'm having a little issue with the timing chain. I may be over thinking things!
Basically I have followed the manual, fitting the chain and aligning the blue chain links with the marks on the cam sprockets and then fitted the bottom sprocket in line with the gold chain link etc. everything lines up, with all the marks and links on the chains, sprockets and engine etc
The manual then says to rotate the engine twice and ensure all the marks line up, too which they do but the coloured chain links do not line up after one rotation but the cam sprockets and bottom cam do line up etc
So is that correct or im i over thinking this I don't want to destroy the engine!
Cheers

You would have to turn the engine over hundreds of times to get the links to line up again if all your timing marks line up you will be ok the coloured links are for 1st fittment of the chain ,make sure you don't turn the engine backwards as this can damage the tensioners
