Yesterday I took the jimny for a swim! Not too deep(top of bumper). All lights on dash indicated low range 4 wd, prob was front hubs did not engage thus only 2 low!
Result was no traction and one 05 plate jimny 4" of water(thick brown gloop) in all foot wells!
Engine stayed running and was towed out!
Clutch was stiff and has since been washed out, thanks Martin for the how too guide!
4x4 system seemed to work there after as continued my day at Tick hill.
Problem is today all I have is the green 4wd light flashing at me! It will neither engage or dis engage!
I have washed out the little vacum filter.
Any ideas?
Oh yea how do I get 1" of thick stagnant stinking poop out of all my carpets!!!

you dunked it in the poop!!!!!
I have a 57 plate Jim and i now run an SJ box in mine as those push button box's
are (and i choose my word's very carefully)a complete pile of japanese crap!!! what the hell were they thinking?????????????????
I would try looking at all the pipes to try and find a crack in any of them, but i think you will struggle to find it as they are like pinholes!!!!
I think martin did a writeup on this... Found it.... click here www.bigjimny.com/images/documents/Check_the_vacuum_system.pdf
And let me know how you get on, Also check all the electrical plugs on the T/Box and
put a bit of white grease on them for next time!!!!

I suggest taking you jimny to a local hand carwash and have it valeted. Fortunately we don't have that problem of dirty carpets because there isn't any in our
