winch battery was created by jtayl153
Yellow-top Optima D34 will do the job.
It has some 1000 cranking amps and is also deep-cycle - meaning it can be run to nearly flat (by a winch) and then be recharged easily.
It's also fairly compact for its size.
I use one as my Aux battery.

Why not use a Jimnybits tray fit a nice big gel battery and re-rout the wiring? Then remove the original? I personally have a seperate battery just for the winch and for any extras I may add in the future like compressors.

No..
Yellow top Optima is rated at 760 CCA, not 1000+
For winching Red top Optima is better, as it's 815 CCA, and you don't need a deep-cycle battery for winching as it's only used for short durations.
But better yet it getting a Odyssey PC1500 or PC1750 if you have the money. Best winching battery available.
What kind of money do you want to spend??

Thanks for the correction TomDK.
I'd go the dual battery system over a single good battery. But beware the Jimnybits battery trays. If you have A/C and ABS, they wont mount where they're supposed to mount.
When my starting battery dies, probably in the next 6 months, I'm going to swap things round so that the D34 is the starting & winching battery and put in another deep cycle in the place of the suzuki batterys place.

Here's my set up (well, the side that you're interested in).
Buds Customs, in Brisbane (logan to be more specific) did this tray up for me for $250. Custom measured, fabricated and installed.
Mine was the first they'd ever done but now they have all the necessary measurements to make more. I already know of two people who have been to Buds Customs from my referral and have had this tray done.
Inbox me if you want their contact details.
