starting problem. can take 15 trys to start. was created by Fingers
this started a few days ago. before that perfect everytime..
I'm got 2 new'ish batteries fitted to my jimny. in parallel. as such it cranks over pretty strong.
it starts better from cold, could still take 3 to 15 try's, and you've got no chance of starting with a warm engine.
once it's running, it's smooth, not lumpy, no mis firming. normal power delivery
so far I've fitted new bosch spark plugs and a new crankshaft sensor. then disconnected the battery to hopefully reset the ECU.
now i'm beaten.
any idea's ?
cheers Jon

Right when it comes to electrics I am bloody useless but......when I had the job of selling 4500 old ser 3 ex-mod land rovers we used to start them using a jump pack and on the stubbern ones flick it over to 24v and they would start a treat but it would screw the coil up and then always be a problem to start. I know if 2 batteries are wired in a certain way they produce 24v as opposed to 12v. Have you or are you putting 24v through to system and damaged your coil packs? I might be talking bollox but....then again it might help.
