Caliper carrier bolts was created by Dougall
I was changing my discs and pads this evening (well, trying) when I discovered one of the 17mm bolts on the caliper carrier was completely rounded. Does anyone know where I can get these bolts, and also a good method of getting the old one off?!

I've seen recommendations for them from a few places - the only thing that worries me is the maximum size is 16mm and the bolt head is (was, before being rounded) 17mm.
Think I may have to speak to Suzuki and order some new bolts.

Are you using a 6 sided or 12 sided socket/spanner try hitting a 16mm 6 sides half inch scocket on it

I was using a 6 sided 3/8" socket. Was tempted to try hammering a 16mm onto it but I'd rather have a new bolt in my hand first before destroying the old one - at least it's still driveable for now as the old bolt hasn't moved a bit. It's soaking in plusgas tonight so I'll try a 16mm socket when I've got the new bolts or even file two flat edges onto the bolt to get a flat spanner onto it.
Any suggestions other than suzuki for the bolts? The workshop manual doesn't give much indication to their pitch/strength.

Why on earth were you using an imperial socket on a metric bolt? No wonder it's rounded!
Try as Mark says in hammering on the 16mm and it might just work but don't put an open spanner on it or it will be buggered.
