There are two push in lugs into the frame behind the headlight. These are very tight. Either pull it our pry it carefully

They can be very tight, spray wd40 on the two lugs and give them a rub with a wire brush, they will come off in the end, can use a large screwdriver or pry bar to give them a helping hand.
I thought exactly the same that i was going to break somthing but got there in the end!

managed to get the lugs to come out (bit of WD40 and a small hit with a hammer) but the headlight still wont come fully out, seems to be stuck on the front bumper! think ive gained enough access tho to fit the pin switch for my alarm system.
do you have to remove the bumper for complete removal of the light or am i just being to much of a pussy?! i have a habbit of breaking things like this so i try not to be too heavy handed lol.
