Jimny lift - body or suspension? was created by 355858
Hi guys,

I'm looking for some help with lifting, i'll quite only admit that i'm happy changing oil brakes and spark plugs but when it comes to suspension i have no idea.

I'm looking for a reasonably cheap lift for my jimny (2001 soft-top).

I think i would prefer a suspension lift as would like the chassis to be higher from the ground for more clearance but don't know where to start. Can someone please list everything needed and a rough idea of tyre sizes that would fit a 1.5" lifted jimny?

Thanks for your help.

Ben

Another one of those questions asked a million times before. Try the search function. And all your questions regarding lift will be answered.

But in short. A suspension lift is the way to go. If only a 2" lift, it is very easy to do and gives better offroad performance. Body lift only gives possibility of fitting bigger tyres.
