Modular or Alloy Wheels was created by rogerdadodger
I've noticed a lot of the bigger trucks on here have the modular steel wheels with the big tyres! Is this just because of the extra strength of steel or something else? I've got a set of the three spoke Suzuki alloy wheels & a set of the Oz alloy wheels, could I fit a set of the 30 or 31 inch tyres or won't they fit right?? Has anyone got a picture of the Oz wheels with the big tyres fitted??
Cheers

The modular have a better offset so you don't need spacers. Also they are wider and I'd say stronger. You could fit big tyres to the alloys though. I'm sure someone will have pics.

With that in mind, which are harder on wheel bearings; spacers or modulars. With my logic I would say modulars...

Bigger the offset the worse on bearings they are so if the wheel with spacers stick out more they are worse and vice versa

I would say spacers are worse, purely because they all seem to be +32mm, where as most offset wheels i've seen (and emailed the sellers about) are +20mm
