SWIVEL SEALS was created by Jackdelves
Hello, I'm new to Jimny's, have grease leaking from swivel seal (front passenger side). Is it possible to change the seal without taking all front wheel assembly off? Can I place it over the drive shaft as I notice it has a slot? Any ideas?

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Yes you can, it is in the manual, you slit the seal and keep the slit to the top (or glue with superglue- rubber is the only other thing it will stick apart from skin
) but the reason for the leak is your swivel (kingpin) bearings have gone. and the halfshaft is moving in the axle seal, allowing oil to wash the grease out of the housing.
Have a look under info on the home page for how to change the bearings, you can buy a kit from the store.
Edit Mark has beaten me to it whilst my slow fingers tap on the keyboard
