Door trim fouling wing. was created by Municipal Waste
Last year I had an old dear reverse into the side of my Jimny and the damage was that the front door when opened would foul on the front wing and so bent both the wing and the door.

It all got repaired and for a few months has been fine. But now I notice the very front corner of the trim piece on the front door is fouling on the inside of the wing.

It looks like the door is hung properly so to speak because the shut line looks quite even. Does anyone have any thoughts on why it might be happening?

I've e-mailed the company that did the repair but frankly they don't seem capable so if there's something I can fix myself like adjusting how the wing sits or the door I'd rather do that then take it to them (considering they can't tell the difference between gloss and matte paint).

Dave.

It's not really the wing as such that it's catching on, but the inside of the wing. Luckily that means the scuff it's causing is totally invisible.
