New AT Tyres was created by Dougall
Hello all,
Just bought some new tyres - Continental CrossContact AT. Standard size (205/70/15) but after the first couple of weeks I can say they are much better than the standard Bridgestones, and cheaper. Got mine from Camskill (who now appear to be out of stock) and fitted at a local garage.
Only been doing some very minor offroading recently (farm tracks/muddy paths around the farm) but they're much better than the standard tyres. Not bad in the snow we had last week either, but I'm putting that down to the fact I only had 2.5mm of tread left on the old tyress rather than the Continentals being far superior.
On the road, slightly quieter, and if anything, slightly softer ride. Much better through standing water too. Wet braking is about the same as the Bridgestones and I'm still to try mini roundabouts in the wet to see if theres any difference there.
To shorten it all, if you're using it on the road most of the time but occasional light offroading they're definitely an improvement over the standard tyres.

I got them from
www.camskill.co.uk
but they appear to be out of stock now.
www.mytyres.co.uk
seem to have them in stock though, but a bit more expensive than what I paid from Camskill.
