jimny steering wheel quick release

Salut,
I want to mount a quick release on my jimny:
so removing the steering wheel to see how to adapt the hub.



airbag submitted: (yellow wire = airbag ; black = horn)

the Origin steering wheel hub :

removing the solenoid:

think through the tape before the fall, to prevent it from turning, just pull over and everything comes (in white in the center, the recall system indicator)

Then I welded on a disk for future quick fix release:

Now, every evening I go with my steering wheel as arms

I like the idea but if you needed to could you easily refit the original Jimny steering wheel with airbag. This would be necessary for the uk MOT.

Why would you even want a quick release for the steering wheel?

It's not like it's a NASCAR racer or anything remotely similar.

i think its a great idea......deter thiefs as they jump in to nick it and have the 'what the f*ck' look on their face

Yeah I agree, its a hoot. Also good idea if you want a stylish steering wheel on your Jim but need to easily return it to standard with airbag for the MOT.
