Thats pretty good bit easier than putting a blob of weld on the bearing race :)

Great tip if you have access to the exact sized socket. I found it quicker to just use a long drift than go and look for one ;)

On mine, the bearing ID was only a few thou' less than the ID of the rim on the hole so it would have been a miracle if I had the correct sized socket.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Did mine today,used a Draper 1'' socket and got a perfect fit. :)
