Air filter is built into the air box plenum inlet maifold thing that Isuzu fit on the 41EE engine so no need to run a second filter in the Jimny airbox, also jimny air box and snorkel a little on the small side for a 1.7TDI so dont want to introduce any more restriction by running a second filter

Iv just got my snorkel and was up for having a go at fitting but a guy not far from me did on his disco only he didnt seal all the airbox up. He sadly has broken his car due to a silly mistake. Im giving it to my usual 4x4 garage man so I no its done properly. Yours looks good

There is a drain hole inside the original Jimny Air Filter box (at the bottom). This shoudl be filled with sealant to ensure water cannot get in.

Yeah okay, i follow that,

Also i agree with martin about filling the air box drain hole, thats the only hole i've plugged and had the engine fully submerged had battery warning lights flash at me but no water ingested, so i'd say its a well sealed unit itself

Hows that Dave? Have you inserted a non changeable filter in the box such as a k&n?
