Hi guys
My jimny is all standard at the moment but I have just bought some 7x15 modulars with -7 offset fitted with brand new 235/75x15 insa turbo dakar tyres they measure just over 29 inches in diameter. What I would like to know is what sort of lift to do with this tyre setup, I would prefer to do the smallest lift I can get away with but I do realise I will need to trim he arches. Could people please post some pictures of their lifts and how much the arches have needed to be trimmed.
How badly do 235/75x15 tyres affect the gearing with a standard transmission, would I be better off swapping the tyres for 215/75's.
I know there's a search function so if you were going to reply with use the search don't bother replying
Thanks in advance for the help and advice

This is on 235/75/15 special tracs, with 4.5" suspension lift, 2" body lift and trimmed arches.
You will also find you will kill clutches without a rocklobster
Then it gets very expensive
If you stick to 215/75/15 tyres you should be ok for a 2" lift and avoid the need for expensive gearing.
Remember that going over 2" of lift starts getting very expensive to do properly.

Hello, i went out and bought 235/75/15's insa turbo spec tracks and tried fitting them on only a 2" spacer lift which required a fair amount of trimming. To add to that they kept catching so i ended up swapping them for some AT tyres 215 70 15's which fit great. I will invest in some big mud tyres but will need a bigger lift.
