I had some std Wrangler arches spare so have put the Wrangler rears on the front of the Jimny as the tyres stuck out too far. The rears are a good shape for the front, and I think I will probably put the Wrangler fronts on the rear as they seem to lend themselves better to the rear.
The roll cage makes it a bit more difficult and I have now tied the bottom piece into the arch. I think it would look better if I trimmed the wing back a bit more so that you don't see it as much. I didn't do it initially as the wings are pretty flimsy anyway but the arches have stiffened the wing up.

I only bought the winch recently - its a Superwinch EP9 and was £300 from a company in Uxbridge Middx. The plasma rope and fairlead weren't included but it came complete with a new steel wire etc. It had a new motor fitted as the original had burn't out for some reason.
This is where it came from and they have a few more at that price

As you say its better to get it mounted high and out of the mud and crud if possible. I'm doing a winch challenge with it - a fairly low key affair - Easter Sunday. Hope it works ok!
