I just fitted wheel spacers but im a bit concerned about the stud extenders. The paperwork says to tighten them to 70ft lbs but if I do then they dont line up with the holes. I've got them as tight as I can so they line up but most of them are nowhere near 70. I'm hoping that they will stay in place because of the shape off yhe spacer but am I missing something?

Also, how tight should the wheel nuts be? Are the mo I've torqued them to 70 too.

I don't like that style of wheel spacer as I've seen too many picutures posted on forums by people who've had studs snap and lost a wheel. Instead I prefer the billet type but think offset wheels are even better.

I know there are many, many people on here and other forums that will disagree with me on these spacers being a problem but I recently read in some regs that the MSA don't allow extended stud spacers - it must be for a reason!

For the gv wheels you only need about 10mm to clear the shock
I have those 32mm spacers on and although i havent had any trouble im still not a fan , when funds permit i will buy the zook to landrover billet adapters :-)

ive had the cast spacers on most of the suzuki's ive had & never had any problem & i prefer them over the billet ones

i know what you saying about tightening them up ive always just done them up as much as i can while they still line up with the spacer & never had a problem & they can't come undone

I have the same spacers (Grayston) and had the same issue, I tightened them up to around 70 until they lined up, if I found a stud needed to be overtightened a lot to line up, I swapped the stud extenders with others in the box, why this helped i don't know, just did, i suppose each stud extender is slightly different. Some where also slightly under tightened to line up. anyway once all lined up fit the spacer over the extenders into the hexagon shapes this way they cant undo, fit the wheel and torque wheel nuts to 70 also. NB: make it routine maintenance to check and re torque wheel nuts monthly.

I have had these spacers on now for nearly 8 months have towed trailer (500kg), roof rack weight (40KG) and daily commutes up and down a motorway, with no issues.
