Hi am new to off roading and i want to no the advantages/disadvantages off a spring life and a body lift.

Basicaly a body lift gives you clearance for bigger tyres, it doesn't upset the suspension geometry, But its a pain in the arse to do.
Suspension lift also gives you clearance, but also raises the engine ( for fording etc) and chassis ( less grounding out) and it's alot easier to do, but costs more in terms of parts ( not labour).
Depending on what size tyres and what level of off roading you plan to do, you can use a combination of both.
If your starting out I would suggest a 2" suspension lift, that gives you a good choice of tyres and doesnt totaly ruin road handling, still would be a very capable off roader.
