Has anyone fitted sj solid hubs to a jimny?
I'm doing away with the auto hubs and don't have much need for manual hubs.

If there's SJ locking hubs fitted on Jimny's with a spacer ring, surely those solid ones will fit too the same way. :)

Would I even need the spacers? I'm not sure tbh.

Why not take the auto hubs off, engage them by hand and stick a blob of weld in there so they don't move.

Free locked hubs and no need for spacers?

only problem with that is when I need to change a diff or shafts etc.
I'd rather have free wheeling hubs than weld.

no, you misunderstood.

The vacuum hubs have 2 rings that slide in and out of each other to engage/disengage.
Just put them in the engaged position (which you can do with your hand) and then weld the rings to each other within the vacuum hubs. Then just bolt it back on. No need to touch shafts or diffs...

It would achieve the same thing as SJ solid hubs but you won't need to source hubs or spacers.
