I don't think they would hold any air with a half inch gap all the way round the rim! The pressure would be kind of atmospheric I suppose!

Nearly there
Fitted some 32mm spacers today and its much better only a slight wonder now so going to order a steering damper and hope that takes up the rest of the problem
