That error code is for the TPS which is fitted to the Throttle Body.
The symptoms you describe are the same I experienced.
If you unplug the TPS it should run ok. The MIL light will stay on and fuel economy will suffer a little but stops you having to heel and toe to keep it running when braking for junctions!!
