Hi guys! bought a new jimny this year and after lurking around decided to have my jimny lifted. 2 in body + 2 in susp lift + 235/75/15 tires. very happy with my decision to have it lifted. the car drives great however i've noticed that the car veers slightly to the left and when driving straight the steering wheel is a few degrees off center to the right. no signs of the dreaded jimny wobble at 100 kmh. very hesitant to have it aligned since the jimny wobble might manifest itself haha. i did notice that the one who did the lift took off the steering wheel to re-center it. any thoughts? havent gotten to adjusting the steering bar yet as i've read in the forum. BTW i've also noticed that my jimny steering wheel does a full 2 turns to the right and 1 3/4 turns to the left. Thought that the steering damper was the culprit and it was limiting the number of turns and i took it off. same thing. Didn't noticed the unequal nuber of turns when the jimny was stock

Welcome to bigjimny.
Did you install castor correction bushes? Its a bad idea to remove the steering wheel to correct it. You should adjust the front steering arm to allow for its extra droop. With 2" lift you should get away without adjustable panhard rods as the axles pull slightly out of line. However a relocation bracket for the panhard rods wont be a bad idea.

What supergaz means is:

The drag link from the steering box to the left front wheel is too short now that the axle is further from the chassis.

Adjust it longer to put the wheel back central.

Do not remove the steering wheel.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

if you fitted an adjustable panard rod and puled the axle back into aline then the steering wheel would have be come straight so just take the steeing wheel back off and fit it in the straight position

I'm afraid it wont.

The axle is in line, but 2" lower down, so the drag link needs to be extended to compensate.

Repositioning the wheel will leave it with less steering lock to the left, as the box will hit the endstop too early.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
