If your in a garage and they don't know about the kingpin bearings, my advice is to use a different garage. They Carnt do a proper job if they don't have a clue!

thank you everyone for the advice i have phoned the garage and gave them this information and have been told to leave it with them.if no joy by the weekend i will be taking my jinmy to another garage i will keep you all posted and thank you for the king pin instructions i am greatfull to you all.

I agree, if a garage cannot diagnose a kingpin bearing failure and a stuck brake piston / slider then I would be very suspicious of them

you say skids out in what way ie the back is sliding out on braking or the fronts are skiding
what brakes was replaced front or rear also did you bed them in ie no hard braking unless nessacery for a 100 miles or so
