Petrol Tank Guard. was created by Smoggy
Ive just undersealed my fuel tank and the flimsy steel suzuki fitted guard thats bolted to it is dropping to bits.
Looking for opinions on whether to just scrap this guard as Im gonna be getting a proper off-road fuel tank guard.

Better off without it mate as mud gets between the tank and the gaurd. At least with no gaurd you can clean and underseal the tank every so often .

I haven't spent much time under the Jimny yet, so I'm not familiar with the truck thoroughly, but I thought the gas tank would be plastic on such new trucks. Apparently it is not?
But I'm gonna make some tough guards for my t-case and tank, no matter what it's made of. Don't wanna end up with some three gallons smaller tank when some rock smashes it in!

Cheers Renard that looks great. Seems to me that its probably better to make rather than buy one. Is that steel or alloy chequerplate and how thick is it please? Looks about 4mm. Thanks for ideas.
