exhaust fitting was created by grumpy22
can anyone tell me how many gaskets are needed to fit a full exhaust system?
fitted mine with the 'fitting kit' which only had one cone type crushable gasket between the cat and mid pipe. so it's blowing between the down pipe and mid pipe and back box.
98 G13B hardtop
thanks

Not sure Grumpy, but I usually re use the ones off the old system with a smear of exhaust assembly paste.

Don't think there were any on the old system either but that was gas tight and the original system I think. I've fitted an aftermarket system which isn't quite as well fitting.

just dont put any exhaust paste before the cat cos what squashes out squashes in and bits can fall off in side and get stuck in the cat a cause a hot spot and burn/melt some of the cat

You learn something new every day, cheers Markyp2000.
Luckilly, when I think about it I've only put it after the cat on the ones I've done.
