i think it should flash indicating a fault as the hubs are not there that did you do the the vacuum pipes to the hubs

Mine sometimes takes a short distance to come on flashing. All its doing is telling you there's vacuum or not and engaging the auto hubs. As long as you know the manual hubs are working when you select 4wd all should be well, the light doesn't relate to the transfer box and physically engaging 4wd.

Despite some sticking with the auto hubs and successfully repairing them, fitting the manual hubs is the best thing i've done.

My light still comes on as solid green and should flash if there is no vacuum.

Check the wires to the switch on the trasfer box, although it would be a spooky co-incidence that one has fallen off just as you change the hubs!

If you look under the battery=, there are 2 vacuum solenoid valve thingies, loads of bits of rubber pipe, and a switch with 2 wires on a connector.
Join the 2 wires.
Cap the rubber pipe fitting on top of the manifold to stop any vacuum leaks, sorted.

Or, just bung small bolts in the 2 rubber pipes that go from the solenoids down to the axle and the switch will work as it did before..

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
