manual locking hubs . was created by robs5230
i was going to permanently lock my auto hubs ( removing vac pipes and manually locking the collars ) but i have managed to source a pair of aisin manual hubs complete with the bolts and cone washers
does anyone have any suggestions about stripping , cleaning , regreasing etc before i fit ??
i will be ordering the adapter plates shortly from martin.
also when fitting the hubs should the jim be in 2wd , 4wd and should the hubs be locked or unlocked ??
cheers rob

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Clean & lubricate.
There is a youtube video, but here is a web page

You fit the outside part then the centre has to be fitted correctly: some of the lugs are larger than the others.
Best done in 4wd, then you can jack up a front wheel and see if they locked.
