what size washers? was created by darthloachie
last time we were out a rear shock popped off and dropped the spring out
when I fit the new bush to the bottom of the shock what diameter M12 washer do I need on the outside to hold the shock on?

Take the shock bush to a Fasteners and get a large washer about the same diameter as the bush - then it'll never come off!
If you really struggle I can pop some in an envelope and post them to you as I must have some in my man cave - I mean workshop!
I take it your bush was knackered then!

the bush is still bolted on to the bracket :S
thinking of getting a washer the same outer diameter as the ring of the shocker but wondered what any one else had done
the bush wasn't that old - it was replaced for the mot in march -must have been a cheepo
got a new one from Russ at jimny bits today as he's just down the road from where I work
