hmm thats odd, if it is 3" I doubt it would just be a 3" body
a body lift is more complex than a spring lift
you can go 2" on spring and you have no problems at all, any thing bigger than 1" body and you have to extend the steering rod, the fwd,low range lever had less movement and probably wont inguage
so a bigger hole is need to be cut out , brake lines etc theres more too it basicly
if your sure its been lifted it should just be a 2" body lift is my guess
