The rear shock brackets are only needed if you have got a 2" lift fitted or spring spacers.

The drill bit you need is a HSS bit, not sure on size though. Take it steady though don't have the drill too fast.

If you want to use the bolt through method its a 12mm drill bit , take it nice and slow with plenty of cutting oil or it will just burn up or chip the cutting face
