Well its Clutch time ! was created by Fearghal Murphy
My Jimny, is just about to pass the 70k mile horizon, it is still on its first clutch, and was never off roaded until i bought it at 60k miles !
Have a clutch kit on order, and the tools at the ready. Downloaded the guide from here and have experience doing heavy jobs like this. However does anyone here know of significant or crucial areas to watch out for regarding a Jimny Clutch fit ?
Many thanks, all you guys help is always appreciated ! Charity OFFROAD challenge in October so looking forward to a well prepped Jimny for that !

My two pence.
After you slide the gearbox back and remove the old clutch don't waste time trying to swap the release bearing in situ. Remove the whole plate and bearing together. Swap it where you can see and then offer it back up (the old bearing should just slide off and the new one slides on. A little hooked screw driver or pick is good for hooking the spring back on to hold the plate back on to the gearbox.
Hope that helps.

While you have the clutch out I would fit a breather kit to the gearbox, as it is extremely difficult to fit in situ.

Is your clutch slipping? From your orginal post it kinda implies you are changing it just because of the mileage?
If it ain't broke why fix it?
