I ordered a weld on recovery eye from ORA and it's at least 12mm thick!
But for the rear I really should have had some thick steel plate with eye burnt out to weld to the end of the chassis rails. Sorry no pics lol

I use 10mm thick minimum for recovery and make sure its well mounted to the chassis or it will bend when you really stuck or worse still....break off

I have a dirty great metal ring welded onto the top of my tow bar and therefore can still get a tow hitch on it if needs be but used to have a Dixon Bate hitch but it did catch a bit and got me stuck a few times.
Just get a big metal bar bent up and welded on the top of your tow bar like wot I ave!

got any pictures of that Kirkynut?
Surely 10mm is well over engineered? How thick is the steel on the chassis?
Better safe than sorry I guess...
