I think you want a Rocklobster transfer box because they lower ratio's. I do not think you want more engine power.

Have a look at Off Road Armoury's website :

www.offroad-armory.com/

and email Rob Butler on:

offroadarmory@googlemail.com

as he deals with international orders and can best advise you.

Goatboy send me some very good links which i already searched for infos, seens to me a very good deal to try...
I´ll check for more infos about it and guess what?
Seens to me that my Jimny will have a Turbo very soon!

Hi I really dont think there is anyone in this forum with a Turbo fitted to be honest. The only turbo ones I've ever seen are on YOUTUBE. The only turbo engined Jimny I've seen for sale in the UK was on Ebay, and it was a 1.9TDI out of a Izuzu trooper I think. The bloke selling it said it pulled like a train. I wish I had that lump in mine.

Thanks
James

So you have already got rid of the jimny transfer case? If not then you need a rocklobster for loads more torque as the only gears for standard jimny transfer box hardly reduce the gearing.

I still think you need the rocklobster as more power will only increase the speed of going up hills .....you will still need more torque
