new suspension - recycling front springs ok? was created by Black Toy
Hi everyone!
I’m into a new suspension system for my great little vehicle and was reading somewhere in the forum that you can use the front springs in the rear to get about +2â€.
Then i would buy just the front coil springs from Trailmaster...
Any of you have experience with that?

Hi and Welcome to Bigjimny.
No experience with front springs in the rear.
However Trialmaster are super expensive! There are alternative cheaper options of good quality. Also don't forget to account for caster correction, panhard rods and extended brake lines.

Hi SuperGaz,
Since i use my Jimny as an everything driver, first thing is my safety on the road to keep my highway peaks over 110 km/h not too scary.
About the caster correction, i'm waiting to fit the new suspension and see how it goes. Panhard rods i've been reading posts here and people usually extend then when going over 2"...
cheers
PS. English is not my native tongue

For 50mm id put on caster correction bushes on the front, and rear shock brackets.
You should get away without panhard rods at 2"
Nothing wrong with your English, its better than mine, and its my only language!

Hi Black Toy and welcome. Have you voted in the colour poll yet? Can't help re your query though other than to say that I read somewhere, possibly on here. That Vitara springs can be fitted. Don't know whether it is of any use.

Thanks for the tip"
I did vote on the color!
Anyway, I've decided for new springs on the front and ex-front springs rear.
Already got spring spacers + shock extenders. Should keep the rear shock repositioners?
cheers
