I didn't fit my bucket seats but the previous owner cut the subframes off the standard seats and fitted (welded?) the seats to the frames.

Mine are Recaro seats and have fairly wide "wings" at the top and on the base. I guess the previous own had trouble fitting them in to the car as the wings appear to have had some of the foam removed to get them in.

Wish I could have recaros or skyline seats
My standard ones are shot - keep bouncing out of them :silly:
The ones I bought off ebay are out of a classic mini so should be narrow enough. They just don't have any subframes but only cost £72 for the pair a bargain - dead tasteful eh?
Shall be collecting them tonight and then I can see what fixings are on the bottom

Hacked my seat bases to bits and fitted the seats to them but when I fitted then they sat too high and I couldn't get my fat legs under the seats comfortably and I am not clever enough to build anything from scratch, so they are up for sale
They are in good condition no rips, tears or wear.
The passenger seat is fixed but the driver seat reclines (mechanism has been locked with a nut and bolt)
Any one want them £75 for the pair, buyer collects?

Corbeau do universal seat runners, and have a range of seats for sports cars so shouldnt be too wide. MG Metro seats and also as used in the Maestro are an excellent seat and 20 quid from a scrapyard if you can find them.
