If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

These are refered to as torsen differentials, loads of 4x4s fit them, sometimes just to the centre, other times to all 3.
Anyway, if you google

You can get one for a swift 1.3, no idea if they will fit, but the wrong side of £500 a pop too.
