I had a bit of a problem!
Shouldn't have gone so mad with the lift! I've 10 25kg bags of sand to help for next time, and plenty of steel test weights in my van to weight it down with some wind out of my tyres. Its completely immobilised now as I have put it on my front garden (stones) with no transfer box or props attached. Once it can move under its own steam again it WILL go in the garage so I can fit my ORA bumper and paint the cage. I think I could remove my rear spring spacers in under 10 minutes to help anyway.

Can't you 'adjust' the door on the garage?
Higher opening and just extend the door(s)?
I extended my garage and raised my roof by 2' and fitted an electric roller door.
Jim has a 2.5" suspension lift and a 2" body lift waiting to go on.
I think the roof bars might just scrape on the rubber door seal on the bottom of the door, not sure?
Will find out in the new year when I get Jim back up and running.

All been looked at! I do remove a support cross bar so the door cannot over run at the back, I've looked at raising the whole garage as it is only sectional But to be honest its not worth the effort, as I can get the jimny in on flat tyres should I need to.
I replaced my garage door last year with the best (hormann) up and over type to give me the best clearance possible, I wanted a electric opener but this would have killed any chance of the jimny fitting in
Last time I had my jimny in the garage it still had the factory roof bars on, now I have the KAP cage this actually sits a bit lower + adds extra weight.
If I had the chance id have built a garage with enough height to allow me to install a 2 post lift and also allow me to put my jimny in with it sat on top of my Ifor Williams flat bed Jimny carrier to keep it out of sight. But we all dream!

I had an Hormann door and looked at fitting the leccy openener but you lose a little clearance.
To fit a remote roller door it meant I needed another 2' above the opening and so extended the garage by 8'. Again sectional so it was a case of 4 x 2' sections on one side and 1 x 2' section on the other side. I then knocked up a frame and door in the 3' gap for 'emergency' use. (+ 4 roof sections.
I did the same with the door opening, just made another higher frame, the roller and motor fitted easily in the space inside and above the door opening.
If I needed to make it another 6" 'higher' it shouldn't be a problem as there is an extra 6" of door on the roll, if you get my drift.
LoL! That's how I gained a little height etc.
What about just raising the roof by 6"? Just extend the joists where they fasten to the sides then you would just need to put some wood 'planks' down the gap, horizontally.
Then you would have to add 6: to your door frame and door somehow. (New door??) Ouch!
Or as you said, let the air out the tyres!
Sorry for the thread hijack..

Thanks for another idea Keefe, raise the roof instead of the whole thing, that would be easy.
Just reminded me to go out and get a seal for the bottom of my garage door as rain blows under the gap.
Really need to go outside and brave the weather while i'm off this week and get some jobs done on the jimny.
Sorry this thread has gone a bit off topic, but serves as a little warning when considering how high to lift the jimny!
