building your own, or paying for one to be fabbed up is way cheaper than an off the shelf one,
ive managed to build the front winch bumper, rock and tree sliders and rear bumper, all for less than the price of an off the shelf front bumper.

I've next week off to move house - so I think a day will be spent trawling the scrappys and then it'll be a case of visting the fabricators.
Out of interest no-one knows a good fabricator in Stoke that could make me one to spec - have living in Wiltshire the past 7 years so abit out of touch with the local bods back home. Local one in wiltshire could - but would need the jimny for a couple of days to fit and need it to move house and high water!!!

Hi, after smashing the front bumper on the Jimny fording some pretty frozen streams over Salisbury Plain this winter, I am also getting a new Bar fabricated.
My Plan is to get a single bar to sit infront of the standard bumper, but to give frontal protection across the full width of the front bumper (slash cut at the ends). I also want to beable to mount a front bash Plate to it that wraps under the bumper to the lower front mounting points, and to offer a full height "A" assembly that leans slightly forward to give better protection to any spot lights mounted on it.
I have been quoted around £300 from initial conversations with some fabricators, but If I can buy a Landover one for £260 and modify it to fit ..
I was looking for something like this .. scalled down to Jimny size

Those bars are ok, but I think if you are going to use the bar as a working tool, they are easily creased and damaged. Stainless steel can also be brittle and likely to split rather than bend.. plus those raduis's are pretty tight, I bet they are a weak point.
Good for the Urban Jungle, offer enough protection for small knocks or parking face into bushes ... but I wouldnt personally fit them to ours.
It anoys me a little, that there are no companies out there making simple strong bumpers for the Jimny. They are available for the Landrovers and Jeeps but why not the Suzuki's ...
The only options open to us are either a Large heavy winch bumper or fabricate your own

Radiant LED heads
Though you would have to buy a switch also to operate them however you can synchronise many lightheads to operate of one switch in terms of activation and pattern change. There are also much cheaper - but adequate for you needs i imagine ones such as these 1st Gen LED heads
I just want to buy the best I can for my new motor, and if that means a wait a few weeks longer than I would have had to then I'm good with that
I'm going to be investing in a few of these soonNeed something to mount a couple of spots to plus some LED amber flashers + be pretty forestry proof (spent quite a bit of time in the woods tree felling and doing countryside management). So something that covers the whole front would be ideal
