K&N air filters was created by British Bulldog
Hello all,
I have a 55 reg jimny,
I've just been on a web site that listed two filters and two different prices but they both
had the same part number,33-2162 are there two k&n filters for Jimnys or only one?
Also any tips on the cheapest place two buy from.
Thanks BB

I would have thought that if you have seen two listed
one will be for the petrol and one for the diesel (not in
the UK but most people still list part's for them??)
I don't think the airbox has changed since the first ones rolled off the
production line, My friend has a 51 plate and his is the same
as mine 57 plate!!!!

Both were petrol one pre 04 and other to present reg, diesel was
also listed with same part number!
One petrol was priced at £23.99 and the other at £25.99,I think
the site must be wrong.
Thanks for the reply

I had a look into this a while back, I think the older ones are listed as a 1.3 and the newer VVT engine are listed as a 1.4 if my memory serves me, im not sure if an pre VVT one will fit in a VVT it may well do as the airboxs look very similar,
I'll see if i can find any more info

no I must be wrong, there is only one filter listed and thats a K&N Part number 33-2162 listed for all models
The deals on ebay look good, Ive bought a few K&N's for my previous vehicles off ebay with no probs, the prices vary from shop to shop, so shop about for the best deal
I will be wanting one myself sometime soon

the only 'danger' of some K&N Filters on eBay is they are not actually K&N ... beware the hidden word on their adverts STYLE ... aka K&N style ...
If you REALLY want a K&N filter (and i've used them in the past, and hanent seen any reasonable improvement) then go to a kosher K&N supplier (then you'll have a manufacturers warrantly ... else get a cheapo and be done with it!!
