4WD problems was created by goatboy
Right so I fitted my shiny new manual hubs but I still have 4WD issues.
If I put it in 4wd and jack up the drives side front (and have the hubs locked and in gear) the wheel turns but the prop also turns.
If I lower that side and jack up the passenger side and turn the wheels, the wheel turns but the prop doesn't move. So I thought it must be an issue with the freewheel hubs, so I took that off I can actually turn the driveshaft by hand again no movement from the prop.
Something can't be right can it (or am I being dim)?

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

It is broken.
Specifically, assuming the hubs are actually locked.
1) in 4wd the front prop should not rotate with the back wheels on the floor. Transfer box broken, or just not selecting 4wd.
2) with one front wheel off the floor rotating the raised wheel must cause the prop to rotate*. Differential broken.
*Or if your transfer is in 4wd, the wheel cannot rotate, because the propshaft cannot turn.

Turning a driveshaft by hand with no prop movement:
1. CV Joint
2. Differential
3. Driveshaft
There are no other parts between the prop and the hub.

Hmmm.... I don't like any of the potential list of problems... :pinch:
Driveshaft investigation first me thinks
