Heated Oxygen sensor on the exhaust manifold was created by Baggy
Hello all
Regarding the above sensor
I've unplugged it and checked accross the two pins as suggested in the manual.
instead of the 6 or so ohms suggested in the manual I'm getting open circuit.
Question 1
I assume that it's goosed. Would just like some reassurance before I fork out on a new one.
Question 2
Anyone recommend a good place to source one?
thanks
baggy

Oh dear, thats your Lambda Sensor - mine went too .... I hope you have a good relationship with your Bank Manager ...
I was going to get a OEM Lambda sensor, but rumour they are a good as Chocolate Firegards!!
I forked out a wedge from the local Suzuki Stealer ... but they come with a Suzuki Guarantee!!
If you go to the Suzuki garge to get a price for one - make sure you are close to a chair to sit down on!!

To quote Martin ... if its a OEM Suzuki part and its cheap .. it aint worth it - and i see they are imported from the USA -- that'll be bad if they send the wrong one, and you have to send it back.

You know what has always gotten my uptight about Suzuki Stealer Spares ..
If you were to go to them and buy every single spare part they had for a Jimny would it just be cheaper to go out and buy a whole car??

Hmmm,
I have been talking to an source who can get these thing cheap. However I have refrained from talking further with them as the minimum order value 20 items (mixed items allowed) and I cannot afford it at the moment as my bedroom is stacked with other BigJimny stock!
The source is quite cheap (ie Crank sensors at $16 USD each plus import duty, VAT and BigJimny retirement fund donation!!)
I could get a price if there was a real demand, but that demand would have to be backed by money as I am feeling a bit poor since Christmas. Is it listed below??
SUZUKI
UTI NO. OEM No. MODEL REF
OS59-001 18213-58B21 Suzuki X-90 1996-1998
OS59-002 22690-KA140 SUZUKI
OS59-003 18213-65D30 18213-65D31 SUZUKI SG1297
OS59-004 18213-67D10 SUZUKI

I don't know the part no appart from the HO2S-1 reference
It's the M13 engine (I think there's only one type for that engine)
